Artful Listeners Founder, LCSW , Therapist

"I am very passionate about working with people who are searching to make their dreams come true or to heal injured relationships. I earnestly study psychological theories, techniques and strategies to create a powerful, positive impact in the lives of my clients. I follow three principles seeking to improve. First I focus on my personal growth & spiritual development. Second I continuously study/refine the techniques I use to help people. Third, I consciously evaluate the effectiveness of my work and take the feedback from the people I am working with. In addition to offering full scope DBT, I personally will be offering Emotionally Focused couples/family therapy, as well as therapies derived from Transaction Analysis and the Polyvagal Theory of the autonomic nervous system.




Lindsay uses alternative therapies that will allow you to be an active participant through creative arts, powerful self-healing tools and effective coping skills. Because being true to "thine own self" requires stepping out of comfort zones, her Artful Listeners sessions integrate somatic experiencing using Expressive Arts and the structure of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). “My practice encompasses a person-centered and humanistic approach to therapy, to be present for you with warmth and empathy.” Sessions are pro-active, personalized with respect to the DBT assumption that each person is currently doing the best they can, and that they have the desire to improve. Areas of specialty include Anxiety, Fears & Eating Disorders.




Monique sees children, adolescents and adults. Clients often remark on her warm and calming demeanor. And with her goal of starting therapy as simple and stress free as possible, she welcomes Art Listeners clients with a safe, supportive and come as-you-are approach. “Together we can work on reducing & eliminating the worry, anxiety, depression & unhealthy habits you may be experiencing. I am trained in Maternal Mental Health, Cognitive Behavior Therapy & Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am able to help clients identify their stumbling blocks and strengths.” Specialties include Parenting, Anxiety & Depression with experience treating many other difficult  issues. Other types of therapies utilized include Attachment Based, Family Systems, Strength Based & Trauma Focused.

Amancay works with adolescents, adults & families helping them accomplish their goals. “Goals can be forefront & achievable or explored together through a therapy.” Her approach is individualistic, applying intervention tactics specific to needs & situation. “I use real world techniques such as problem solving & mindfulness. These techniques can be used to brainstorm solutions and create a plan to reach your goals by building your intrinsic motivation and becoming more aware of yourself & your environment. Everything that happens in the outside world is uncontrollable, unpredictable & can sometimes feel unmanageable. Bravery might be needed to take the next step in facing your mental health & I am here to support you through that first step & beyond.”

Miranda provides individual and family therapy to adolescents and adults. She believes that healing happens in relationship, and that through our work in therapy, we can learn to truly live again, stepping out of survival mode and into our own vibrant and unique selves. Miranda specializes in family and attachment trauma, child abuse, sexual abuse and assault, relationship concerns, parenting, and mood disorders such as bipolar, depression, and anxiety disorders. Her therapeutic orientation is heavily trauma-informed and attachment-based. In addition to traditional talk therapy, Miranda utilizes mindfulness and somatic techniques to promote post-traumatic recovery and growth.
