Lauren Liu

I received my B.S. in Child and Adolescent Development and went on to earn my M.A in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2023. My passion for this work grew from a deep curiosity about how people become who they are, and how healing and connection can help us rediscover the parts of ourselves we’ve had to hide or protect.

I’m especially passionate about supporting teens and young adults as they navigate the complexities of identity, relationships, and emotional growth. I strive to create an affirming, inclusive space for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients to explore their experiences with curiosity, compassion, and self-acceptance.

I draw from a range of approaches - including Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic, and Narrative frameworks - and tailor each session to meet your unique needs. My work is grounded in LGBTQIA+ affirmative care, cultural responsiveness, and other evidence-based practices that foster meaningful growth. I also enjoy weaving in art and creative expression as ways to deepen reflection and healing.
