A Bit About Me

I believe therapy can be a useful tool used to build peace in the mind, promoting a positive well-being, and resilient self. I am a compassionate therapist and supervisor committed to empowering and encouraging individuals to learn how to live up to their full potential. I believe that giving constructive positivity lends itself to creating respect and trust in the therapeutic relationship. I take a client centered approach, utilizing solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, reality, and dialectical behavioral therapy models.  I enjoy incorporating mindfulness into the therapeutic process to help clients cope more effectively. I have been in the therapy field for 10 years. I have a Bachelor of the Arts in Sociology, with an emphasis in Social Welfare. I have a Master of Science in Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am passionate about and have extensive training in working with diverse youth and adolescents. I am certified in evidenced based practices such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Managing and Adapting Practices. I have a broad range of experience and knowledge including but not limited to Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Oppositional Behaviors, Post-Partum,  Self-Injurious Behaviors, and Suicidal Ideation. I specialize in children, adolescents, and families. If you are open and willing, I look forward to walking you through your therapeutic journey and supporting you in meeting your personal goals.
