A Bit About Me

Hi! My name is Suzanna and I warmly welcome you as you embark on your journey of exploration and discovery along this bright new path.

I have a deep heart in working with kids, teens, individuals, couples, and families through issues like anger, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bullying, grief and loss, relationship struggles, conflict resolution, among other emotional wounds. I use a compassionate, empathetic, yet direct process to identify what is blocking you from achieving your goals and experiencing freedom from past pain and current afflictions, and I promote healing in you and your relationships impacted by these experiences.

In my work with you, I may use eclectic and integrative approaches to facilitate healing consisting of emotional regulation activities, mindfulness practices, Psycho-Education, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused and Strength-Based processes. There are times I apply Play Therapy to help those younger in age to process difficult emotions and experiences, to using Narrative Therapy to help externalize yourself from the problem, reshape your narrative, and highlight strengths.

Other times I may co-create with you to integrate various interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you restructure negative thoughts and behavior patterns, Motivational Interviewing as a catalyst to spur change, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist you in regulating emotions and promoting mindfulness, along with a holistic approach to see what can be balanced regarding your physical health, nutrition, sleep, and thoughts in achieving overall well-being.

Apart from my ability in positively impacting and fostering personal growth in adults individually, my specialty is working with kids, teens, young adults, and parents to navigate through unique and complex developmental stages. Parents often find that I am well-suited and a great fit to help their kids navigate through emotionally challenging periods of their lives.

I truly enjoy my role as a therapist and am dedicated to bringing genuine healing to everyone who seeks therapeutic support from me, and I love to bring knowledge and humor together for a very supportive growth environment.
